Good Morning Mets Fans! Last night Jacob deGrom dominated the Marlins going seven shut out innings and setting a career high for strikeouts with 14. DeGrom also slugged the second home run of his career as the Mets completed the sweep of the Marlins to improve to 5-1 on the season, which matches their 2018 start.
Today Noah Syndergaard will start the home opener at Citi Field as the Mets take on Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals. First pitch is at 1:10 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on SNY.
Today is also minor league Opening Day with all four of the Mets full season affiliates playing. The first game is the Syracuse Mets at 2:05 p.m. ET.
